I am an artist, a painter

Growing up in Brooklyn I escaped the busy city streets by drawing portraits of movie stars of the day. Encouraged by my teachers I won a scholarship to The Traphagen School of Fashion in Manhattan. I then held a position as an illustrator for a New York design and fashion magazine. My desire to delve into painting led me to attend the Art Students League. The League led me to the world of art and painting. After moving to Long Island, I became active in the growing art community, joining organizations, attending workshops and exhibiting my work.

Originally an on-site painter I became intrigued with collage and experimental works. Mono printings is also of great interest to me. My travels to the southwest led to a series of works concerning the land and the ancient Indian cultures. I work in series of paintings exhausting my thoughts on the subject of interest then on in search of my next adventure.

I have won numerous awards in exhibits nationwide and my work can be found in collections across the country.
