Jill Maura Rabin, M.D., is Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Director of Curriculum Development for Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Hofstra-North Shore LIJ School of Medicine, Hempstead, New York, Chief of the Division of Ambulatory Care and Head of Urogynecology in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Long Island Jewish Medical Center of the Northshore-LIJ Health System.

Dr. Rabin was graduated magna cum laude from Hofstra University, Hempstead, New York and subsequently earned her MD from the State University of New York, Downstate Medical Center. She then served a residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine until 1985, followed by a fellowship in Urogynecology at the Long Island Jewish Medical Center from 1989 to 1992.

A Diplomate of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Dr. Rabin is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Urogynecologic Society and the International Continence Society. She is a practicing urogynecologist for over twenty years and has a particular interest in diagnostic challenges, conservative treatments for pelvic organ prolapse and incontinence as well as in urogynecologic medical devices which she has helped develop and patent. In addition, she is an active researcher, consultant, frequently invited lecturer and media spokesperson for her professional organizations including American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. Dr. Rabin holds seven patents and one copyright for urogynecologic medical devices. Widely published, she has authored three books on women’s health including the recently released “Mind Over Bladder”, a step-by-step guide to continence. Together with her fellow members of the Division of Urogynecology and Pelvic Reconstructive Surgery at LIJ-NSLIJHS Dr. Rabin has worked to maintain a center of excellence for 15 years with patients often referred from many areas in the Northeast.

Dr. Rabin also acts as reviewer and editor for a number of peer-reviewed journals. Among her numerous honors are the Tita Monti Award for Outstanding Community Service from the North Shore LIJ Health System, the George M. Estabrook Distinguished Service Award from Hofstra University, the Alumni Achievement Award from Hofstra University and the Distinguished Service Award from United Jewish Federation-UJA. Dr. Rabin’s biographical inclusion is listed in Marquis ‘Who’s Who in America’ (2011-2013) as well as “Who’s Who in Medicine and Healthcare” (2011-2012) . For the past fifteen years Dr. Rabin has held a student pulpit as Cantor of Congregation Adath Israel, Newtown, Connecticut.
