Welcome to the Long Island Branch of the National League of American Pen Women!

The Long Island Branch of The National League of American Pen Women was formed and charted on May 11, 1953 under the National League of American Pen Women located in Washington D.C. The branch was comprised of talented professional women involved in the arts, such as literature, painting, musical composition, photography and sculpture. The ladies met at each others homes as well as having teas in and about the Long Island area.

The Long Island Branch has grown in the past 58 years and continues to be interested in the arts, improving upon its talent and striving to learn new techniques. Each year there are four business meetings and two luncheons with demonstrations or lectures. Weekly, our talented and award winning artists, gather together to paint in good spaces and with good company and learn from one other. The branch shows its works in many venues throughout Long Island and New York City.

We are always open to new members with the love of the arts, and we welcome them to our meetings. Please feel free to contact us for more information.
